Original abstract artwork from the collection "HOME".
For my "HOME Series" I asked people what 'home' means to them. I am very grateful for the wonderful and heartfelt responses I received.
This artwork's inspiration is by Anna from San Diego, California, raised in Ensenada, Baja, Mexiko.
“To me, home is where who I am and who I’m becoming can exist together. It’s the feeling of being enough, of not having to explain myself or prove anything. It’s built from memories, trust, and small familiar rituals. It isn’t tied to one place; it’s something I carry with me. It’s made of the people I choose, the scents I love, the memory of the ocean, and that quiet feeling of safety. It’s where I can fall apart a little and still feel held.
My husband and I left our hometown alone and bought our first house. It was completely empty the day we moved in, and I felt so sad. He assembled our first bed, took the wrapping paper, and hung it like a curtain. We joked that it was our palace, even though it was bare. Since then, we’ve moved across different homes and different countries, and somehow, we’ve carried that “palace” with us.”
"A Curtain of Wrapping" is 40x50cm, acrylic paint and glitter on canvas. The artwork is varnished (matte finish) and framed in a natural wooden frame. Ready to hang.
The artwork is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
